Add a Group Profile
Note: When you create a profile, it automatically inherits values from the parent profile. To override values, see Edit a group profile.

In the Menu Pane, select
Node Tools > Configuration Management.
The CONFIGURATION MANAGEMENT page displays. -
In the Hierarchy View, locate the profile under which you want to create a child profile.
Note: If you have a long list of profiles, you can use the Search function to locate the profile.

On the profile, click
, and from the menu, select Add Child Profile.
The PROFILE SUMMARY section displays. -
In the Configuration Selector, click each section you want to update, then in the Configuration Section complete the fields as required. For a list of fields in the:

Notes:-
Each section inherits values automatically from the parent profile.

When you edit an inherited value, an icon appears to inform whether the value is new, or overridden.

If required, to add another section:

In the Configuration Selector, click
.
The MANAGE CONFIG SECTIONS dialog displays. -
Select the check boxes next to the sections you want to add to the profile.
Note: If you want to add all sections to a profile, click Select All.

Click Apply.
The dialog closes and the selected sections are displayed in the Configuration Selector.

Click the Save Profile button.
The SAVE PROFILE DIALOG displays.
A notification confirms the successful save and a message displays the date, time and user that made the change.
This saves the profile changes to the system, but does not apply them to already enrolled nodes. Only newly enrolled nodes receive the updated configuration. -
Optional: Commit the profile:
Notes:- You must save the profile before you can commit the profile.
- Commit profiles when you want to update live nodes immediately.

On the profile, click More Actions, then select Commit Profile.
The COMMIT PROFILE dialog displays.Note: If there are unsaved changes, Commit Profile is disabled.

Click Yes, Commit Profile.
A notification confirms the successful commit and a message displays the date, time and user that made the commit.
Saved changes are pushed to all currently enrolled nodes under this profile or its children.
